This Ventair 450mm extension rod is available in Titanium, Black and White finishes. This extension rod can be cut to size. Ventair extension downrods are supplied with wiring looms for absolute convenience.

What is the purpose of an extension rod?

An extension rod will be necessary if your ceiling height is greater than 2.7 metres. In such cases, adding an extension rod to bring the ceiling fan lower will dramatically improve the ceiling fan's airflow effectiveness. Ceiling fans can lose up to 30% airflow effectiveness if they are installed on high ceilings without using an extension rod.

Recommended installation height

All ceiling fans should be installed so that the bottom of the blades are at least 2.1m from the floor, and at least 300mm from the ceiling to maximise airflow.
